The challenge
Linda Smith asked us to design the new site for the Christopher Smith Foundation. It had two primary jobs: caregiver nominations and donations. That sounds simple until you build it, because nonprofit sites tend to collect pages until neither job gets done. Every visitor had to land on one of those two paths without hunting for it.
What we built
We had to keep this project slim, so the budget went where it counted. We set her up with Donorbox for one time and recurring giving, wired into a donation first homepage, and built a caregiver nomination flow simple enough to finish in one sitting. Around those two jobs sits a fully featured Avada site on WordPress that Linda can keep current herself.
The outcome
She has had the site for eight years now and it works great. It has taken donations and nominations that entire time without needing a rebuild, which for a nonprofit means the money kept going to the cause instead of back into the website. We still host it and maintain it, and Linda still calls when she needs something.
I cannot say enough good things about Michelle and Todd and their company Crown Marketing.
